Netflix’s Blockbuster series gets a release date and first images

Netflix has announced the premiere date for its upcoming comedy series Blockbusterscentered around the once prominent chain of video stores.

Blockbusters premieres through Netflix on November 3. The series will consist of 10 episodes, each lasting around 30 minutes. It stars Randall Park as Timmy Yoon, Melissa Fumero as Eliza Walker, Tyler Alvarez as Carlos Herrera, Madeleine Arthur as Hannah Hadman, Olga Merediz as Connie Serrano, JB Smoove as Percy Scott and Kamaia Fairburn as Kayla Scott.

“Timmy Yoon (Randall Park) is an analog dreamer living in a 5G world,” reads the series’ synopsis. “And after learning that he runs the last Blockbuster video in America, Timmy and his associates (including his longtime crush, Eliza (Melissa Fumero)) struggle to stay relevant. The only way to succeed is to remind their communities that they provide something big companies can’t: human connection.”
