According to a recent report from Daniel Richtman — and confirmed by Cosmic Circus — Clarke will play G’iah/Gloria Warner, a Skrull who helps aid in the Skrull invasion of Earth in the Secret Invasion comic series, but later ends up abandoning their side to help humanity after realizing where brutal the Skrulls can be. Of course, it’s unclear how the character will be adapted for the TV series, but if it ends up being anything like the comics, expect Clarke to have a big role.

Disney+ Secret invasion is set as a crossover comic event series featuring a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls that have been infiltrating Earth for years. It will be led by MCU mainstay Samuel L. Jackson as he reprises his role as Nick Fury for the twelfth time in live-action since he first portrayed the character in 2008’s Iron Man. He wants to team up with Captain Marvel‘s Ben Mendelsohn, who returns as Talos, the pseudo-leader of the Skrulls.

Joining them is MCU newcomer Kingsley Ben-Adir (A night in Miami) as the series’ main villain, Oscar winner Olivia Colman (The crown), Emmy-nominated Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Killian Scott (Dublin Murder), Christopher McDonald (Happy Gilmore), and Carmen Ejogo (Fantastic beasts) alongside MCU vet Cobie Smulders as she reprises her role as Maria Hill.
