The menu trailer: Ralph Fiennes turns good dinner into a nightmare

Searchlight Pictures has dropped the full trailer for The menu, his upcoming dark comedy thriller, which is slated to hit theaters on November 18. The video highlights a unique and expensive dining experience hosted by Ralph Fiennes’ authoritarian chef character. It features Anya Taylor-Joy’s character as the only one who feels uneasy about the chef and the staff’s intentions.

The menu is directed by Mark Mylod (Game of Thrones, Succession) from a screenplay written by Seth Reiss and Will Tracy. Joining Taylor-Joy, Fiennes and Hoult are Hong Chau, John Leguizamo, Janet McTeer, Judith Light, Reed Birney, Aimee Carrero, Arturo Castro, Rob Yang and more.

“A couple (Taylor-Joy and Hoult) travel to a coastal island to dine at an exclusive restaurant where the chef (Fiennes) has prepared a sumptuous menu with some shocking surprises,” reads the synopsis.

The menu is produced by Adam McKay and Betsy Koch through their Hyperobject Industries banner. DanTram Nguyen, Katie Goodson-Thomas and Zahra Phillips are overseeing the project for Searchlight Pictures.
