This marks John Wick the star’s first major American television project as the lead. Reeves recently voiced Bruce Wayne/Batman DC League of Super-Pets and will next be seen reprising his iconic role in John Wick: Chapter 4.

The Devil in the White City centers on two characters at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair: Daniel H. Burnham, a brilliant and discerning architect racing to make his mark on the world; and dr. Henry H. Holmes, a handsome and cunning doctor who is secretly a serial killer who seduces, tortures and mutilates young women in his own castle.

The series adaptation will be written and executive produced by Sam Shaw, who is also set as showrunner. The project was first announced in 2019, with Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese serving as executive producers.
