The release dates for Aquaman 2 and Shazam 2 could reportedly move again

According to The Hollywood Reporterthe rumor mill is in full swing as to whether Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Shazam! Wrath of the Gods will be released on their currently scheduled dates.

Warner Bros. Discovery is apparently considering moving the release dates of the two sequels, which are currently December 21 for Shazam! Wrath of the Gods and 17 March 2023 for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. There’s no word on when the new dates would be, though we’ll likely find out after Warner Bros. Discovery’s earnings call this Thursday.

This potential reshuffle comes just after the sequel’s release date Jokerwith the title Joker: Foil A Deux, was revealed. Not only that, but it reportedly accomplished Batgirl The movie was canceled just a day ago, making it hard to tell what’s going on at Warner Bros. Discovery.

The news comes amid a turbulent time for the DCEU, as earlier this year reports also surfaced suggesting Warner Bros. Discovery is looking to re-evaluate the current state of the DCEU. With potentially only three films — Black Adam, The lightningand Blue Beetle — with concrete release dates as of now, it’s anyone’s guess what the future holds for the world of DC Films.
