ComingSoon is excited to debut the official trailer for Base letter, the live-action film adaptation of the best-selling video game from Kadokawa Games. Directed by Sonja O’Hara, the film will be released in select theaters and via video-on-demand on September 1.
“The film centers on Carlos, a poor teenager from a broken home, as he tries to reconnect with Sarah, a school pen pal, after he receives a desperate message from her that she has killed someone,” reads the film’s synopsis. “When Carlos travels to Sarah’s hometown and investigates it, he uncovers a criminal plot involving Sarah’s packed group of friends and a terrifying secret that has led to Sarah’s disappearance.”

Base letter is directed by Sonja O’Hara and stars Danny Ramirez, Keana Marie, Mark St. Cyr and Lydia Hearst. It is based on the 2016 visual novel video game of the same name by Kadokawa Games.
