Creed III Delayed to 2023, New Release Date Set for Rocky Spin-off

Creed III will no longer be released in 2022 as a new release date has been set.

The third entry in Rocky spin-off series will now be released on March 3, 2023. The original release date was November 23, 2022, so that’s a delay of less than four months. It is leaving the busy holiday season and will now be released in the first quarter of next year.

In addition to leading the new installment, Creed III will officially mark Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut. Plot details are still unknown, but the script is written by Keenan Coogler (Space Jam: A New Legacy) and Zach Baylin (King Richard) on a story outline from original co-writer/director Ryan Coogler (Black Panther).

The film is being produced by Charles Winkler, William Chartoff and David Winkler via Chartoff-Winkler Productions in association with Proximity Media along with Jonathan Glickman, Jordan and Coogler, while Adam Rosenberg, Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler are all set as executive producers.

In particular, this is the first Rocky movies without Sylvester Stallone.
