Nothing makes me feel fancier than whipping up a delicious, restaurant-worthy appetizer or party dip at home. This smoked salmon dip fits the bill perfectly. Although it feels dressed up and tastes amazing, it’s super easy to make.
If you want an even simpler version of this dip with a beautiful presentation, try this recipe salmon mousse. We served it at my wedding. 🙂
Smoked salmon dip is made from cream cheese, creme fraiche, smoked salmon, lemon juice, dill, capers and a few optional spices (plus salt). It’s that simple!
I like to add all bagel seasoning to the top of the dip before serving. It’s a fun presentation, and the flavor of this dip feels like something you’d spread over a bagel.
Even if you think of lox and cream cheese bagels, I think I should point out that lox and smoked salmon are not the same thing. They are similar in that they are both salted salmon, but smoked salmon has some added flavor from the smoking process.
So if you’re looking for ingredients, look for smoked salmon for this dip and not lox.
To prepare this smoked salmon dip, simply add all the ingredients to one Food processor and mixed together. That is it! It couldn’t be easier to throw this together before you throw a party.
