Vanessa Hudgens’ plunging gray catsuit is an elevated twist on the trend

Michael Kors staged his spring/summer 2023 runway show on Wednesday, Sept. 14, with lots of celebrities sit in the front row. Vanessa Hudgens in particular pulled out all the stops when it came to choosing her designer look: a charcoal gray cashmere catsuit styled under the brand’s signature wool coat Christie envelope bag and pointed pumps, all selected from the Autumn/Winter 2022 collection.

Hudgens’ halter design featured a deep V-neck and open back, and her waist was cinched in with a thick leather belt. Her jacket fell off her shoulders as she went to show the details fully. She finished off with an array of earrings, including a pointed cross pendant and gold hoops, with her hair slicked back into a braid. The 33-year-old’s light makeup included a smoky eye and peachy glow.

While Michael Kors always presents a sophisticated, well-tailored collection regardless of the season, his latest offering is an ode to the 1970s, and Hudgens’ cat suit fit in nicely. Along with similar plunging necklines, the line boasted fringed skirts, cut-out dresses and sequins for evening wear.

Hudgens’ gray sweater is far from her latest Nylon Magazine cover shootto which she wore pink Miu Miu lingerie and latex, leaned into Barbiecore trend with retro undertones. Although her catsuit is an item considered trendy, also loved by people like Kim and Khloe Kardashian and Megan Thee stallionHudgens took the more luxurious approach, opting for a fall-appropriate iteration in a cozy fabric that echoes elevated, monochromatic suits.

Ahead, you can catch her outfit from all angles and see her pose in the front row with other contestants Nina DobrevKeke Palmer and Alexandra Daddario.
