Everything We Know About ‘Uncoupled’ Season 2

Second season of Netflix Disconnected has yet to be confirmed, but the Neil Patrick Harris-helmed series has been a trending topic on social media. The first season also ended on several cliffhangers that fans would love to see resolved or explored in subsequent seasons.

The story follows Harris as Michael, a New York City real estate agent who finds his 17-year relationship coming to an abrupt end when his girlfriend moves out of the house without warning. Michael is subsequently thrust into the dating world after nearly two decades of being off the market.

Here’s what we know about a possible second season so far [warning: spoilers ahead].

Who would return for a second season of Disconnected?

Harris, of course, would return as Michael, the main character of the show. We would probably see his besties, Billy and Stanley, played by Emerson Brooks and Brooks Ashmanskas. Colin, played by Tuc Watkins, was set to return as Michael’s ex-boyfriend, who he is still getting over. We would most likely see Tisha Campbell back as Suzanne, Michael’s business partner. Marcia Gay Harden as uptown girl Claire Lewis may also reappear as a foil for Michael as she goes through her own drastic divorce. And she now owns an apartment in his building.

What would the second season of Disconnected Be about?

Cast made some assumptions in an interview with TVLine, including series creators Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman. But before then, the first season ended with a few big moments. The main question is how Michael will receive Colin after finding him back in their apartment and admitting that he may have made a “mistake”.

After spending the first eight episodes trying to get over the man, it’s not an easy decision to make.

There would probably be more for Stanley to do as he battles breast cancer, and more about how Billy was forced into some introspection about how he deals with life after not being included in Stanley’s diagnosis. Suzanne ended the season seeing her son Kai’s birth father, although Campbell says she doesn’t know who he is.

“I would very much like to know!” she told TVLine. “All I know is he’s from Europe. I don’t know what country. I know he’s going to be fine, whoever he is. … Darren Star Films Emily in Paris in Paris right now. I threatened to come visit him and see if I could pick his brain.”

Star only hinted at what the next possible storyline would be, though he didn’t reveal anything about Kai’s father.

“We have strong ideas about that story,” says Star. “We almost gave it away in Season 1, then decided not to.”

Richman added: “It will be much surprising.”
