Ombre Valentine’s Mini Pancakes | Hi fashion

* In partnership with Walmart +.

Obviously only interested in one thing haha

I can not with Beckam’s face here πŸ˜‚

My dad used to make me pancakes almost every morning when I went to school. He wanted to make funny characters and letters. As an adult, I do not know how he did it, he is a super dad! I love to make breakfast but we usually run out the door and eat breakfast in the car many times haha. On the weekends I always make a good breakfast on Sundays, and up to the holidays I like to make themes. Valentine’s Day is one of my favorites because you know how much I love the pink color scheme πŸ˜‰

I saw this idea online so I ordered some fruit color, berries, sprinkles and a few other details about Walmart + to save me a trip to the store. As much as I wish I was a planner and could plan a complete shopping list and order once a week, most of the time I have last minute ideas like this or I remember something I forgot so I love to be able to order groceries for just when I need them.

I got too these cute plastic whistles to make a candy mocktail that there was no doubt about the kids’ favorite part haha. We added some White Cran-Strawberry juice and a pink sugar border – loved the idea for a sweet, festive baby drink. I used Bisquick pancake mix and followed the instructions on the back. I made the first handful of pancakes with just the normal pancake mix and then separated 4 bowls for other colors. I added a few drops of pink food coloring to the dough. The pink from this set is SO bright and rich, I’m obsessed! You can just eyeball the amount of drops you want to add as it depends on how big a batch you are making. Just start with a drop or two and mix to get an idea of the color. A little goes a long way – So after cooking the next ‘shadow’ pancakes, add a few more drops of the food coloring and repeat.

You can repeat as many times as you want and go as slowly / gradually as you want, but the more you do, the bigger your pancake stack haha. We just made mini-stackers because I knew the kids would not be able to eat that many if they were full size. I used too this cute little shape (works for pancakes, eggs, etc.) that have a circular or heart-shaped option. So cute for Valentine’s Day or just to spend all year for fun. It also made it so much easier for the stack to make several at once. These are AMAZING !!

We topped with berries, syrup, whipped cream and sprinkles. I also ordered these edible flower petals it would be so beautiful for a Valentine’s Day brunch with your partner or even a baby shower / bridal shower brunch. I forgot to put them on when we did this, so I’m going to use them when I do it again, they are SO Beautiful !!
