MY TRAVEL STYLE MUST HAVE FOR 2023

I feel like the journey is really picking up again in 2023! I eased back in the last year, but I feel like my travel calendar is already overflowing this year. I’m headed to California this week and it got me thinking about some of the tried-and-true pieces I love to travel with and the must-have accessories. From oversized scarves to the perfect travel bag, today I’m highlighting a few of my on-the-go favorites.

A FAVORITE BAG

This bag is still one of my favorite travel companions. It’s lightweight, holds a TON, has a specific sleeve to go over your carry-on, is easy to clean, and has so many interior pockets. Seriously, they just thought of everything. Many years ago I bought one fleet and it continues to be the bag I reach for again and again for future trips.

AN OVERSIZED SCARF

I’m always cold when I travel – even in the summer! An oversized cashmere scarf that doubles as a blanket is a total lifesaver on any flight. Believe it or not, I still travel with the oversized scarf from my Nordstrom collection (see how I styled it here and here), but I love too this and this!

A PAIR OF COMFY SHOES

Overdressing is my MO, but when it comes to traveling I tend to tone it down a bit. It all starts with comfortable shoes, a must for me when I travel. I typically wear either these loafers that you know i love these sneakers, or a pair of Chanel ballet flats. I always switch to it, but lately they’ve been my shoes of choice when I’m on the go!

A GOOD, GO WITH EVERYTHING BLAZER

I try not to bring a giant coat on flights because it can be so cumbersome (you know, unless it’s really freezing cold at my destination). Instead, I choose a more solid blazer or third piece that is warm enough without being bulky. I’m still wearing it this blazer quite a bit (which I picked up during Nordstrom’s anniversary sale), but has also been loving this blazer, this blazerand this quilted jacket!

ACCESSORIES ADD-ONS

Not *really* fashion related, but I have a few accessories I can’t travel without. With so many bags being lost, I use AirTags for a peace of mind. They easily and accurately track my bags so I know exactly where they are if they happen to be left behind by a carrier. Another Apple product I swear by: the latest version of their lightning cable. It charges your phone up to 50% in just 30 minutes! My phone is always dying and I’m not organized enough to lug around an external battery so this super charger has been a game changer. Also, I never used to use luggage tags until someone walked off with my bag (accidentally!) at a Paris airport. Now I always make sure I have These on each of my bags including my carry-on if for some reason it needs to be checked at the gate.
