Lizzo‘s “Special” tour style can be summed up in two words: sparkling and transparent. That “2 Be Loved” singer currently celebrating her fourth studio album with shows around the US and every outfit on stage is pure perfection.
On Sept. 22, one day before the kickoff concert in Sunrise, FL, Lizzo offered fans a sneak peek at her tour wardrobe with a video of her practicing a dazzling getup. The two piece set combined with a glittering cowl-neck bodysuit and matching wraparound skirt with a thigh-high slit. As it turns out, she actually removes the asymmetric skirt midway through her show, thanks to the side band, and performs in a bodysuit, neutral tights and combat boots, as she did while playing James Madison’s 200-year-old crystal flute in Washington DC.
Of course, Lizzo does some outfit swapping during each tour stop. She has rotated through several different colored versions of the same long-sleeved catsuit, first wearing the design in royal blue and later subbing in a neon yellow replica. Covered in dozens of rhinestones and sheer mesh panels that mimic cutouts, the catsuits are custom-made by her shapewear brand, Yittywhich explains why she looks “so ripped” in them, the performer joked TikTok. She’s styled each one with matching lace-up boots that allow for plenty of dancing on stage.
Lizzo has never been one to shy away from bold performance looks. She hit the stage at the 2022 MTV VMAs in August rocked a bubblegum pink corset-style bodysuit covered in cutouts and draped material. The month before, she opened the BET Awards in a gold disco ball-inspired crop top and flared pants. Oh, and let’s not forget lime green, bedazzled bodysuit she was wearingSaturday Night Live” earlier this year.
