Kylie Jenner is back in couture. On Jan. 23, a day after finally reveal his son’s name, the beauty mogul made her grand entrance at Schiaparelli’s Paris Haute Couture Week show in quite the striking ensemble: a ruched velvet dress adorned with a giant faux lion head. While the animal motif certainly stole the show, the rest of the piece was anything but simple – the figure-hugging corset dress came with a lace-up back and a mermaid train. Jenner, who happens to be a lion, completed the look with black and gold accessories, including gold peep-toe heels, a snakeskin purse and eye earrings.
“BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. thank you @danielroseberry and @schiaparelli for such a special morning. wow I loved wearing this faux art creation constructed by hand using man-made materials. beautiful beautiful,” she wrote along with pictures from the show. Jenner wore the creation sitting front row as a similar version debuted on the runway. The catwalk version was modeled by Irina Shayk and featured a long one-shoulder silhouette and straight skirt.
That always extravagant The Schiaparelli couture collection included other designs based on lifelike creatures such as a snow leopard, snake and wolf, in addition to horned bustiers and dramatic embellishments. The front row Doja Cat contestant also made a shocking appearance as she arrived at the show covered in red body paint from head to toe and 30,000 Swarovski crystals.
After a series of casual looks from Jenner, as a cutout onesie from Skims and matching Jean Paul Gaultier set together with best friend Stassie, the beauty brand’s founder has increased the price for Paris Couture Week.
