Kate Middleton has been photographed for the first time since the queen has passed awayand on the same day as King Charles III officially named her Princess of Wales. Kate appeared behind the wheel of her car on Friday afternoon, dressed in a black turtleneck sweater, sunglasses and dangling pearl earrings.
The princess remained at Windsor yesterday, while her husband Prince William traveled to Balmoral to be with the Queen after she was placed under medical supervision.
Kate was photographed out on a school trip, picking up her and William’s three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis from their first day at Lambrook School. She seemed stoic at the time. Kate and William recently moved from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage on the Queen’s Windsor Castle estate.
Charles spoke about Kate and William’s future roles and new titles during his first speech as king of the UK. He said, via Hi!“As my heir, William now assumes the Scottish titles that have meant so much to me. He succeeds me as Duke of Cornwall and assumes responsibility for the Duchy of Cornwall, which I have held for more than five decades.”
“Today I am proud to create him Prince of Wales, Tywysog Cymru, the country whose title I have been so privileged to bear for so much of my life and duty,” Charles added. “With Catherine at her side, I know our new Prince and Princess of Wales will continue to inspire and lead our national conversations, helping to bring the fringes to the center where vital help can be provided.”
Kate and William updated their social media handles to reflect their new Prince and Princess of Wales titles.
