Ashley Graham’s latest look is a work of art. After stepping out into a sweeping blue dress by British Fashion Awardsthe supermodel quickly changed into a more edgy, form-fitting dress after party on Dec. 5. Off Trade union chamberthe draped purple dress was covered by a optical illusion print that looked like it was painted on.
Aside from the trippy design, the double-layer mesh piece also features cutouts across the chest and a thigh-high slit. Given the dress speaks for itself, the 35-year-old mother of three kept her accessories simple. With the help of a stylist Emily EvansGraham completed the look with silver Jimmy Choo sandals, drop earrings and a sparkling metallic clutch.
Created by designer Sergio Castaño Peña, Syndical Chamber is a Spain-based label known for its wet draped dresses with trompe l’oeil, a visual art described as tricking the eyes with 3D effects. Each piece of mesh is custom-made to act as a “second skin” for the body. Most recently, model Nahuane Drumond wore a Syndical Chamber design 2022 People’s Choice Awards on Dec. 6.
Graham’s tight mesh dress is a departure from her outfit earlier in the night. Wearing a sky blue Patrick McDowell creation with a high-slit printed dress and matching overcoat, she presented the Model of the Year award at the event celebrating the best in fashion.
